Am I Shear Crazy?
Did you know that the word fleece comes from the Old English “fleos, flies” and means the “wool coat of a sheep?”
Well, it is that time of year when the sheep need their fluffy woolen coats to come off, so I took advantage of a few warm, sunshine-filled days we had in early March, and tried my hand at shearing for the very first time……
