SOLD OUT - Fleece to Fiber Workshop
Join us for a day of learning and hands on fun! You will learn the process of skirting a fleece, scouring (washing the wool), carding and combing, and then finally spinning. You will be using drop spindles to spin on, with demonstrations on a spinning wheel. At the end of the workshop, you will go home with your very own drop spindle and handspun skein of yarn.
What to expect from this Workshop:
This Workshop is 5 hours long including a 1 hour lunch & lamb snuggle break.
You will learn all the steps on how to take a raw fleece straight off a sheep into ready to spin fiber. Including a mini lesson on spinning to get you started!
All Materials included
What to wear: This class will be held outdoors on our farm. Please wear work clothes and dress for all weather.
What to bring: water bottle, snacks/meals, a camping chair or blanket.

Farm to Yarn Workshop
I will be teaching the step-by-step process of turning raw wool into beautiful yarn. The class will be held at Landon Farm in beautiful Madison County, Virginia. All materials are included. Please bring a bag lunch or grab a snack or sandwhich from the farm store, located onsite.
Pre-registration is required. You may book online or contact The Farm Store at Watercress. Max participants is 12. This class will be held outdoors unless there is inclement weather.
